I’ve found so much encouragement reading 1 Samuel 17 (David and Goliath). My key takeaways:
When you have an assignment to fulfill, expect the following:
1. Confusion (the state of being bewildered or unclear in one's mind about something).
2. Criticism (the act of criticizing usually unfavorably)
3. Diversion (an instance of turning something aside from its course)
Final takeaway: God has given you all the resources you need to defeat your giants. So don’t worry when people try to question your ability. Tell them that the same God that allowed David to defeat the lion and bear, and then use a slingshot and a few smooth stones to defeat a massive giant is able to give you the ability to defeat any giant that comes your way. Sometimes people look at your outward abilities and become confused. People may question your abilities, criticize your gifts and try to divert your assignment. Be encouraged! God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7)
What giant will you defeat today?
